Students: Please notify Ms. Seibel at (805) 834-1481, or Ms. Reigert at (805) 385-5225 immediately upon receiving any scholarship awards so that we will know to include you in the Condor High School Annual Senior Academic Awards Program in May 2019.

The Science Ambassador Scholarship Deadline:  December 11, 2018 

Eligibility:  High school FEMALE Seniors who expect to major in a STEM field and are planning to attend a college or university in the United States in Fall 2019.  To apply for this scholarship, students must submit a three-minute video of yourself explaining a topic in STEM that you are passionate about.  The award is for a full-tuition scholarship.  Apply online at www.scienceambassadorscholarship.org

 

Footlocker Scholar Athletes Deadline:  December 14, 2018

Eligibility:  High school Seniors who are currently involved in high school sports, intramural sports or community-based sports.  Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA, be planning to attend a 4-year college in Fall 2019, be a U.S. citizen or permanent legal resident, and can provide examples of leadership in your community, school and team.  The award is for $5,000 each year for four years for a total of $20,000.  Application are made online at www.footlockerscholarathletes.com

 

2019 Edison Scholars Deadline:  December 14, 2018

Edison International is awarding $40,000 college scholarships to 30 high school seniors!  Eligibility:  High school Seniors who will be studying science, technology, engineering or math (STEM) at a 4-year college or university.  Students must show financial need, have a minimum 3.0 GPA and live in Southern California Edison’s service territory.  Information can be found at www.edisonscholars.com

 

AXA Achievement Scholarship Deadline:    December 14, 2018

Eligibility:  High school Senior expecting to continue full-time education at a 2-year or 4-year college or university in the U.S.  (Enrollment at a college outside the U.S. will be considered.)  Must be a U.S. citizen and can demonstrate ambition and self-drive as evidenced by strong academic record and outstanding achievement in an activity in school, the community or workplace.  As stated in their scholarship announcement, “Special consideration will be given to achievements than empower society to better face risk through education and action in areas such as financial, environmental, health and/or emergency preparedness.”  One of $10,000 winner is chosen from each of the 50 states who could become the national winner an additional $15,000.  Other types of awards are available.  Apply early as application period will end when 10,000 applications have been received!  Information and online application is available at www.axa-achievement.com

 

Burger King Scholars Deadline:  December 15, 2018

Eligibility:  High school Seniors who plan to enroll full-time in a two or four-year college, or vocational-technical school in the U.S. in Fall 2019.  Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA.  This program offers “General Track” scholarships and “Employee-Based Track” scholarships.  Award amounts vary from $5,000 to $50,000.  Apply online at www.scholarshipamerica.org/burgerkingscholars/

 

California Association of Educational Office Professionals (CAEOP) Deadline: December 17, 2018

Eligibility:  Graduating high school Senior who is planning to continue his/her education at an institute of higher education majoring in the field of business administration or education.  Must have a minimum 2.0 GPA in high school and is a California resident.  Three (3) letters of recommendation are required as well as an essay on “Why I am choosing a career in business or education.”  Multiple awards are for $1,000.  Information can be found online at www.caeop.org then click on “programs” and scholarships”.

 

The Debra K. Geist Memorial Scholarship Deadline:  December 30, 2018

Eligibility:  A Ventura County high school Senior who is a U.S. citizen with exceptional leadership potential, has a good record of community service and is planning to attend a 2-year or 4-year university majoring in areas of business.  Award is for $500.  Applications available online at www.birns.com

 

American Revolution Knight Essay Contest Deadline:  December 31, 2018

Eligibility:  10th, 11th, 12th grade students.  The contest requires an original essay of between 800-1200 words on the topic of an event, person, philosophy, or ideal associated with the American Revolution, the Declaration of Independence, or the framing of the United States Constitution.  Cash awards ranging from $500-$2000.  Rules are available at www.sar.org/educationn/youth-contest-awards/george-s-stella-m-knight-essay-contest

 

GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program Deadline:  January 4, 2019

Eligibility:  High school senior who is a U.S. Citizen and planning to attend a 4-year college or university in Fall 2019.  Applicant must have a minimum of 3.0 GPA and ca demonstrate exemplary leadership, drive, integrity and citizenship at school, at home and within the community.  Financial need will also have to be demonstrated.  There will be numerous awards given for $10,000 each, which are renewable for up to three more years.  Apply online at www.reaganfoundation.org/education/scholarship-programs/ge-reagan-foundation-scholarship-program

 

The Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund Deadline January 11, 2018

Program offers a range of scholarships from one-time $2500.00 awards to multi-year $20,000 awards. Offers awards that can be used to cover the total cost of attendance, not just tuition, room, and board. Focuses on students who are representative of the Asian American and Pacific Islander community’s geographic and ethnic diversity. SPECTRUM Champ Nomination Form

 For the 2018-209 Fall high school sports season, one male and one female student-athlete in their senior year that has excelled in academics, athletics and in their community will be named Spectrum SportsNet Championship Drive Scholar Athletes presented by Shakey’s Pizza. A $2,500 scholarship will be provided directly to the accredited college or university in which the winners enroll following their high school graduation.

NOMINEES MUST:

a) Reside in Southern California, Hawaii, Nevada or anywhere that Spectrum SportsNet is available (“the Territory”);

b) Be high school seniors (or equivalent, e.g. planning on attending a college or university in the Summer/Fall of 2019) in the Territory;

c) Be on the official roster of a varsity athletics team in the Fall season;

d) Have an excellent academic record;

e) Be involved in extra-curricular activities (e.g. band, newspaper/yearbook, etc.) and/or be active in their local community either through their school or volunteering on their own time.
